The Diploma in Ministry program is a one-year
or 8 credit hours of study designed to equip church personnel with proficiencies
in their chosen ministry. Each student will receive an understanding of Bible
doctrine with a full survey of both the Old and New Testaments. The ministry
subject of your choice will be stated on your diploma.

8 HOURS Any course completed in the Diploma of Ministry programs may be credited towards the next higher degree if that degree is completed in the required time limit of the student’s original enrollment date.
Diplomas of Ministry Course Descriptions
Christian Counseling
Equips the student with the skills of counseling using Christian principles. The course
uses the principles of communication enhancement and relationships as its basis. This course is not meant to train a person to become a certified
licensed counselor. Christian Leadership Church Recreation
This course is designed to train
the person in developing and maintaining a full church recreation program
including sports, drama, physical health programs and games. Church Secretary
This course will train the church secretary in duties regularly performed by church secretaries including the use of computers.
Software introduction of Windows, Word and Excel programs will be taught.
Congregation Worship Leader
This course will equip the students for the worship ministry of the church by
developing worship styles, musicals productions, training of soloists, ensembles, choirs
and praise teams. Evangelism/Outreach
Equips the church member in the art of personal
evangelism. Then finding, cultivating and leading the lost person to become a
Christian and nurture that person in becoming a trained witness in personal
evangelism. Preaching Ministry
Students will learn the basic principles of biblical preaching including sermon
inception, construction, and delivery. Students will learn to interpret Biblical
passages and will present original sermons that will be evaluated by their
classmates. Students will also examine the art of preaching from an historical
viewpoint by evaluating sermons from church and Baptist history. Teaching Ministry
"Teaching Teachers to Teach" is a basic, comprehensive manual offering practical guidance that helps teachers learn the
art and practice of Christian teaching. Throughout the course we identify the basic
elements of the teaching process and outline the essential ingredients needed
